Terms of Service — VoltForge

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. The tool

VoltForge is an off-grid solar design and quoting engine. It calculates preliminary system sizing — battery capacity, PV array, string configuration, MPPT selection, cable gauge, fuse rating and cost estimates.

2. Not engineering sign-off

VoltForge outputs are preliminary design estimates only. They are not a substitute for review by a licensed electrical contractor or certified solar engineer. All final conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, earthing and installation must comply with local codes (NEC, SANS, IEC) and be verified by a qualified professional.

3. Founding Member Phase

Every feature is free until 31 December 2026. After the founding phase, subscription tiers (Essential / Pro) may apply. Cozy Kitchen remains free and ad-supported; VoltForge is a subscription product.

4. Acceptable use

You may use VoltForge for personal and commercial design work. You may not resell, reverse-engineer or rebrand the software itself.

5. No warranty

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on calculated outputs, installations performed without professional review, or currency/cost estimates that differ from actual market prices.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Paid subscriptions (after the founding phase) are billed monthly and may be cancelled at any time. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
